| Catalog Course Description: | |||||||||
| A beginning course developing black and white processing and printing techniques. Specific attention is paid to the study of chemistry, technique, and films as they relate to density, contrast, and grain. Creative printing techniques such as burning, dodging, contrast control, and cropping are explored. | |||||||||

| Working knowledge of the photographic process and the 35mm single lens reflex camera. | |||||||||

| Students will be evaluated by observation, of their attendance, punctuality, attitude, class participation, teamwork, and cooperation. Inadequate performance may result in a loss of 10% of the final grade. | |||||||||

| A. Attendance Policy: | |||||||||
| Pellissippi
State Technical Community College expects students to attend all scheduled
instructional activities. As a minimum, students in all courses must
be present for at least 75 percent of their scheduled class and laboratory
meetings in order to receive credit for the course. Individual departments/programs/disciplines,
with the approval of the vice president of Academic and Student Affairs,
may have requirements that are more stringent.
PHO Class Attendance Policy: Students must attend 85% percent of the scheduled class meetings to get credit for the course. |

| Late assignments
will lose 10% for each class session they are late.
All prints must be made at Pellissippi State unless advance permission is granted by the instructor. |
